Root Canals: The Facts

Our office provides root canal treatments for anterior and bicuspid teeth.
A typical root canal procedure takes approximately 60 minutes.

What is a Root Canal?

A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a decayed or infected tooth. A root canal is used to remove a tooth's nerve tissue (pulp) when it is damaged and infected.

Do I need a Root Canal?

You may need a root canal if you have the following symptoms:

  • Severe toothache pain
  • Prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures
  • Tooth is discolored or darkened
  • Swollen, tender gums
  • There is a "pimple" on your gums

Are there other options to a Root Canal?

A root canal is used to save your natural tooth. In most cases, the only other option is to extract the tooth.

Prevent Root Canals with good oral hygiene. For oral health tips, read Your Dental Health.

Appointments are timely and the service is excellent. The treatment is comfortable and complete. They don't rush you in and out which provides for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. They are honest and trustworthy. They perform the service that you need, and don't try to sell you on extra services just to push up their profit. By far, they are the best in the business. "
